Gene Hackman is a retired actor, novelist, and United States Marine who rose to fame when he landed Buck Barrow’s role in Bonnie and Clyde’s movie. With a career that lasted for sixty years, the 89-year-old actor received many awards and recognitions. In 2004, Hackman announced his plan to retire from acting since he didn’t get any film projects. In 2008, he confirmed that his career was over. Instead, he continued his other profession, which still enables him to express his artistry.

He published several novels, namely Wake of the Perdido Star (1999) with Daniel Lenihan, Justice for None (2004), and Escape from Andersonville (2008). He went solo in 2011 and wrote Payback at Morning Peak and Pursuit (2013). With this, Hackman should get a financial advisor to help him manage his earnings from these books. To this date, Hackman believes that his fulfillment merely lives around the block enjoying the fruits of his labor.
