Kristy McNichol is a famous American actress, producer, comedian, and singer. McNichol is known for her role as Angel in the film Little Darlings and as Polly in the movie Only When I Laugh. She also appeared on various television shows, including the TV sitcom Empty Nest. As an actress, Kristy was able to win two Emmy Awards for her role in the hit television drama. Interestingly enough, she called it quits and decided to retire from acting in 2001.

McNichol’s decision to permanently walk away from the entertainment industry shocked everyone who knew her. Everyone didn’t expect Kristy to walk away from an illustrious career filled with acting credits and awards. After walking away from Hollywood, Kristy began to teach acting at a private school in Los Angeles. She’s also managed to devote a huge chunk of her time to charity work. Today, she’s living with her long-time partner Martie Allen.
