The singer wanted to give a raw and honest depiction of herself to her audience.Since then, Keys has been inspired to go makeup-free, whatever the event may be. Her no-makeup look on the photoshoot made her felt the “strongest, most empowered, most free, most honestly beautiful.” Keys is also known to attend awards shows and even The Voice while keeping her face somewhat makeup-free.
