Anne Rice is a famous writer of erotica, fantasy, gothic, and vampire novels. A few of the vampire romance novels that she authored are Queen of the Damned and her most famous book, Interview with the Vampire, which was published in 1976 and was adapted into a movie. It starred Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, and it was a huge success at the box office. Rice was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and she moved to Richardson, Texas, in 1958. She studied for a brief moment at Texas Woman’s University and North Texas State College but eventually earned her degree at San Francisco State College.
