George R.R. Martin is an American novelist and short-story writer. A lot of people worldwide have been hooked on the HBO series Game of Thrones since its TV airing in 2011. The show is an adaptation of the book series A Song of Ice and Fire. With the popularity of the books and the TV series alike, it is highly unlikely for people not to have heard of the man behind these great masterpieces, George R.R. Martin.

Martin started writing as early as his elementary years and sold some of his books to his classmates. Throughout his childhood, he was always the talented writer that he is and he never stopped molding and improving his craft, even taking up a Master’s degree in journalism to get better at writing.  Following the success and fame of his books and shows, George R.R.
