Karyn Parsons is best known for her character as Hilary Banks in the NBC sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, alongside Will Smith. She starred in several major movies and is still active in the entertainment industry. Besides acting, Parsons has been vocal with her beliefs and advocacies, especially to her roots. The 52-year-old star created the Sweet Blackberry Foundation, an organization that produces animated shorts about the unsung black heroes.

It aims to bring African and American history stories to children everywhere and preserve their culture and heritage. Her passion and beliefs are with the projects that she accepts today. Parsons recently appeared in the movie On Monday of Last Week in 2017. She sets to work on the new television series Fly, which is about the first commercial flight with an African-American female crew.
