The Wrong Postcard

Everyone certainly knows what a postcard is, and postcards usually include an incredibly happy photo. However, this postcard that sends greetings from Maui, Hawaii, seems to depict a not-so-pleasant situation. In this photo, a little kid is holding a Macaw, and it seems like he’s not a massive fan of these birds. It’s not an excellent strategy for tourism in the area, as they shouldn’t show a little kid crying while holding a bird.

We’re hoping that this postcard isn’t a real commercial postcard. In the case of the Macaw, they don’t speak much, so there’s no way that the child took offense to something that it said. In this photo, the beautiful bird seems to be calm, and it deserves credit for not being aggressive with the little boy. The boy also isn’t doing anything to hurt it, which is excellent because macaws are either extinct or endangered.
