The Leaning Ice Cream Tower

Famous for its four-degree lean due to unstable foundation, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is a freestanding bell tower situated behind the Pisa Cathedral in the Italian city of Pisa. During the tower’s construction back in the 12th century, it started to lean since the soft ground couldn’t properly support its weight, which aggravated after its completion in the 14th century. As a result, remedial work began between 1993 and 2001 to stabilize the structure, which reduced a 3.97-degree tilt.

As local and international tourists flock to the site to marvel at the tower’s uncanny splendor, there are always some who find humor in anything, which is a good thing in general. For these folks, they surely made the most of their trip. One of his companions took a photo of the leaning tower on what appears to be like an ice cream cone as if saying that this is my ice cream, while the other person appeared to have his own triangular “popsicle” out of a cypress tree.
