Just Like Wilma and Pebbles Flintstone

The American animated sitcom The Flintstones is a comical version of the Stone Age, but with the added technologies and features that resemble mid-20th century suburban America. Its storyline revolves around the cavemen Flintstone and Rubble families squabbling just like the modern-day households. Set in Stone Age in the fictional town of Bedrock, dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures, such as saber-toothed cats and woolly mammoths, are portrayed as co-existing with the cavemen. According to Christopher P. Lehman, animation historian, the series draws its humor to a certain degree from creative uses of anachronisms, like placing a modern society in prehistory.

In 2013, The Flintstones ranked as the second-greatest television cartoon of all time, after The Simpsons. On the other hand, as the series’ popularity spanned from generation to generation, costumes were made to resemble some of the characters, which were then used in parties or other occasions, just like this adorable baby with her mom.
