Great Heights Entail Great Poses

Before we get to the funny part, it is worth noting that this Eiffel Tower was Paris’ ace in 1889’s World’s Fair. The humongous tower was erected as a reminder of the passing of a century since the French Revolution. It is also a structure that exudes Industrial power.

How can a tourist not be compelled to have a photo snapped against this elegant tower? No matter how awkward his pose might have seemed, Sid Frisjes made a feeble attempt in putting his finger on the tip of the tower and posted it on his Instagram account. Without any known reason, back in 2015, the tourist asked the internet’s help: Photoshop his snapshot in front of the Eiffel Tower. Frisjes probably didn’t have any idea how his photo would be engaging. The degree of responses was endless. Most notable of them were Frisjes’ hand being stretched to the tip of the tower. Despite the sloppy editing of some, the photos sure did bring a laugh.
