Fayetteville, Arkansas

Before its streets received the cementing treatment and its homes supplied with electricity, Fayetteville, Arkansas, was a Native American Country the Osage used as a hunting ground. After some time, though, settlers from Fayetteville, Tennessee, came and named the place after their former home.

Since then, the city has landed a spot in the top-five list of the United States’ most incredible places to live. Along with its excellent restaurants and other attractions, Fayetteville is also home to a couple of historic landmarks, such as the Mrs. Young Building, the Old Bank of Fayetteville Building, and the Lewis Brothers Building. To top it off, it also has plenty of outdoor activities for its residents and visitors to enjoy. With that said, one such place worth noting would be Lake Fayetteville. With the park covering nearly 650 acres of land, people could do just about any recreational activity here, such as camping, hiking, fishing, and kayaking.
