A great philosopher once said that every journey starts with a single step. Well, such was the case for Bella Vista, Arkansas, one of the most known recreational cities in America today.

Starting around 1917, Bella Vista was just a resort people could visit. It had a dancehall, stables, a swimming pool, and even an underground nightclub. As time went by, however, more investment money was spent improving the place, making it an even better recreational destination for people of all ages. With the sense of adventure deeply embedded into every resident’s lifestyle, it’s no surprise Bella Vista has an abundance of exciting activities to choose from. Finally recognized as a city in 2007, it also has a public natural-surface trail system called The Back 40 Trails. As its name suggests, it’s a 40-mile path people can traverse through, all while enjoying the lovely sight of nature.
