Homer, Alaska

If you’re fond of watching TV shows, then it’s safe to say you’ve heard of The Simpsons animated series. Thanks to its high degree of fame, the show eventually had the chance to produce a movie, where at one point, Homer and his family went to Alaska.

Funny enough, Alaska also has a city called Homer. Often called “the end of the road,” due to it being the southernmost part of Alaska’s highway system, Homer is also famous for the “cosmic hamlet by the sea.” Besides its overall calm and relaxing atmosphere, the city also has plenty of things to keep visitors and residents entertained. One such activity would be to go for a leisurely walk around one of the pebble beaches at Homer Spit. To top it off, you might even have the chance to see some of the country’s wildlife, too – they sometimes casually roam the streets, after all.
