Clive Palmer
Clive Frederick Palmer was an Australian businessman and politician.[7] He owned iron ore, nickel and coal. He holds iron ore, nickel and coal. palmer owns a number of businesses in robina. He owned Gold Coast United from 2008 to 2012. Palmer founded the Palmer United Party which won the Sunshine Coast Fairfax seat in the 2013 Australian Federal Election in April 2013 and served one term as a Member of Parliament.
Palmer is regularly involved in legal cases relating to his business and has listed litigation as one of his hobbies in his Who’s Who. Palmer studied law, journalism and politics at the University of Queensland from 1973 to 1975, but did not complete the course. He later completed a Diploma in Law through the Queensland Bar Council and worked as a clerk and interviewer in the Public Defender’s Office. Palmer lives in a gated mansion in the Sovereign Islands, an exclusive community on the Gold Coast. Palmer has been married to his first wife Susan Palmer for 22 years and he has two children. His first wife died of cancer in 2006 and in 2007 he married Anna and they had two daughters.
