David Littleproud

David Kelly Littleproud is an Australian politician and has been Leader of the National Party since May 2022. He has represented the Maranoa electorate in Queensland since the 2016 federal election and has served as a cabinet minister in both the Turnbull and Morrison governments.

Littleproud grew up in Chinchilla, Queensland, and is the son of former state minister Brian Littleproud. Before entering politics he worked as an agricultural banker for NAB and Suncorp. He spent 17 years with National Australia Bank (NAB), 12 of them as a regional manager in Warwick, Queensland. As of 2019, he is one of two members of the State Cabinet without a tertiary education qualification.Littleproud has three children. He and his wife Sarah announced their separation in 2019, ending a 20-year marriage.
